Hi There, I'm Amanda and my journey has been one of dedication for over a decade. I found my passion for creating bags unexpectedly 10 years ago while transitioning back to work after raising my family.  I dedicated the first four years to honing my craft and acquired my first leather hide six years ago, which has now become my speciality.

Tinbox Angel is a small, artisanal leather atelier. Crafting exceptional leather goods from exquisite British hides, I only sell direct to the public, cutting out the middle man.  As a one-man band I like to keep the margins low and my workload manageable.

Leather is my passion, but a touch of luxury materials could sneak into my collection depending on the season and the necessity. I relish having the freedom to mix it up.

From the caravan workshop in my garden, I moved into a purpose built lodge in the same garden, followed by a city centre workshop in Lancaster, and more recently a spacious workshop on the edge on the Lake District just outside beautiful Burton in Kendal, Carnforth.

All designs are available to purchase online. Most items are made to order, so allow up to 2 weeks for dispatch. I offer products ideal for gifts or as a treat for yourself. Prices range from £14.00 to £350.00, catering to different budgets without compromising quality. Expect years of reliable service from my products.

All my designs are available for viewing and purchase online, so if you're reading this, you've found me! Here, I provide detailed information about each product, including the design, leather, sizing, and customisation options. You have the opportunity to add a personal touch with a choice of hardware (the metal components that hold a bag together), in additional, I offer various personalisation options, such as signature tags with hot foil or laser engraving. 

Explore Unique Designs in Person at Our Showroom! This is open every week on a Thursday and a Friday 9.00 am - 2.00 pm.  I am a sole trader which means that at times the business can take me away from my location occasionally, if you are planning a special visit, always check my social media for any changes to my opening hours or just message me to confirm.  Please bear in mind I am still a busy workshop and high value leather goods deserve my time and care undisturbed, but I also want to connect with my customers and I welcome visitors during open times.

Now for the services I don't offer!!!

When you visit my studio and see I am fully equipped with machinery and you can see me working, it is easy to assume I offer services other than my own designs.  

I can only offer repair on a Tinbox Angel product.

I do offer a repair service for Tinbox Angel bags ONLY!  I am unable to repair other brands. If you item is precious and unbranded it is always best to seek out a professional leather repairer who has the expertise to repair your item. I may be able to refer you, so please ask. For cherished designer bags, it's essential to find a repair service recommended by the manufacturer. Repairing these bags can be complex and expensive, especially with challenging tasks like zipper repairs. Specialised repair companies have the expertise needed for this meticulous work.

Understanding the difference between bespoke and customisation and why I focus on my own designs.

Our design process involves pattern drafting, leather sourcing, prototyping, and final creation. It's costly and time-consuming. I only produce my own designs.

I cannot replicate your old bag, handmade goods are unique and cannot be imitated. Cherish my designs and enjoy the process of discovery other artisan designs on future journeys.
